Almost Time

Sorry I have not posted in so long.  There are a few updates since the last post of course.  As of 3 weeks ago, Sydney was approximately 5 lbs. 5 oz. but her head was in the 95 percentile!  YIKES!  The doctor said it is just genetics and she will be a smart one.  But that head of hers still has to come out!  The gestational diabetes (GD) has been okay and my sugar has been great so they haven't had to increase the medication at all.  I had a beautiful shower on March 20th with all of my friends and family.  Thanks to Mama , Rachel, Bone, Dad and my aunts for all they did to make it so special!  Sydney's nursery is now painted and just needs to have the wall decorations put on and her stuff unpacked.  They gave us an inducement date of May 6th at 8:00 a.m. if she doesn't come by then, but the doc said she could come anytime.  Next week I will post another update because they are going to check for dilation on Monday and do another growth ultrasound on Tuesday to see how big she is.  Make sure to check out the new pics from the last ultrasound.  Keep us in your prayers!

Prenatal Visit Today

Just an update after today's prenatal visit.  Sydney's heartbeat is still strong - 152 bpm and everything is measuring as it should...my tummy at 25 cm.  I have felt Sydney move a little on the inside but not so much that Keith can feel it on the outside yet.  We were told it could be because I have an anterior placenta...but that over the next week or so I should feel her every day (more and more).   Keith and I interviewed a couple of pediatricians and went to visit a few daycare centers today too.  Talk about stressful!  Anyway...think we made some decisions so that is a relief.  Will keep everyone updated as we go.  Oh yeah .... one more thing!  I gained 4 pounds (so 3 since the beginning of the pregnancy) so that is good!  At least I am not still losing.  Check in with us again soon!
